Synopsis
To celebrate Scooby-Doo's first Christmas, 10-year-old Shaggy and the gang take him to a holiday-themed resort owned by Fred's Uncle Ned. The kids are forced to solve a 40-year-old mystery to save the resort from a ghostly haunting. 


Scoob! Holiday Haunt is a prequel to the animated film, Scoob! (2020).

In August 2022, Warner Bros. Discovery announced they would no longer release the film as part of their cost-cutting strategies. Despite being permanently shelved, the film was completed anyway since it had already been paid for.

CG Generalist | Reel FX

Overview
My job was providing overall support and performing various technical fixes throughout the pipeline, including animation, lighting, and rendering. I was responsible for fixing animation mistakes, rendering shots for review, troubleshooting technical errors, and assisting with any other quality assurance tasks.

  • Animation Cleanup​​

    • Helped to ensure the animation in each shot had no technical mistakes​

      • Cleaned up character geometry for character effects (CFX) artists​

        • Created pose shape deformers (PSDs) and blend shapes for a clean CFX simulation​

      • Fixed character and object interpenetration by modifying rig controls and keyframes

  • Pre-Lighting Cleanup

    • Rendered shots with low-quality lighting to ensure there were no technical errors for lighting artists

      • Fixed technical mistakes in the environment and animation seen in the low-quality lighting render​

        • Ex. wrong layout, different character variants, missing assets​

  • Technical Fixes

    • Performed various technical fixes by troubleshooting different parts of the pipeline

      • Communicated with artists and technical directors to assist with technical errors

        • Ex. asset not rendering, object not importing, pipeline issues, file errors​
